A Pre-Race Thank You To My Running Family

It is less than 24 hours before the start of the Leadville Trail 100 Mile Run.  I sit here buzzing with energy and ready to run.  The race is still very intimidating but I will stand at the start at 4 am in the morning confident and anxious to prove myself worthy of the challenge.

Endurance sports are individual sports.  But as the experienced athlete knows... they are not.  I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from my vast running family.
Thank you to all my awesome training partners and teammates...
"Can't Stop Endurance", Team McGraw & St. Jude Heroes runners...
Sponsors...
The awesome Memphis running family...
and all my running friends from all across the map!
Your support will be rocket fuel for my run.
A special thanks to my dear Team McGraw friend Jenny, who showed me real courage and toughness.  I know she will be cheering loudly.

So, here we go.  I feel that 33 years of running has led to this day... the ultimate challenge.
I am a runner.  This is what I do.

  1. Coach Kevin,

As you said, "I feel that 33 years of running has led to this day... the ultimate challenge.
I am a runner. This is what I do."

And to that quote I say, "Get it done... you're ready and supported & loved by many friends & family. God Bless & keep you safe."
